Indiana Glass “Kings Crown” glassware photo by Elise Anthony
At the antique mall, every day feels like Earth Day. Upcycled housewares, threads and treasures are a thrifty and stylish way to set the table with something that no one else has — except for your grandparents.
I spotted this gorgeous stack of avocado-green or olive Kings Crown dishes last weekend at one of my favorite antique spots in Dallas-Fort Worth, and, just, WOW.
Don’t you just dig those “thumbprint” divots in the cups? Me too. Actually, I’m pretty sure I have an amber creamer and sugar cup in this pattern in my cabinet, courtesy of my Grandma, who indulged my love of dishes by sharing some of her favorites as she downsized.
This set was probably made by Indiana Glass Company; get the deets on Kings Crown from Vintage by Paul.
You can find these in amber, green and even a gorgeous blue color. Some are old and a few are new. I’d accessorize by season or with a Midcentury Mod meets IKEA vibe.
OK, while I look for my amber creamer and sugar, share your favorite finds in the comments.

Very pretty. Fond memories of going antiquing with my Dad.
