I’m guilty of wading into some anxious thoughts lately. Which I’m not going to not feel bad about, but I choose to move forward from.
We are all walking through a state of uncertainty right now as we isolate ourselves and hunker down. Last week we took a selfie at work as we celebrated Pi Day; now it feels like months ago.
(When the introverts like me get a little sad about isolation, you know the extroverts among us probably need intensive check-ins by now. Thank goodness for my Mom and my dogs.)
Back to some truth:
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
Proverbs 12:25
Here are three things that have personally sparked hope, joy and gladness that I want to share with you.
1. This Sermon
Pastor John Stickl’s calm, sweet spirit is good medicine right now, and you can even request prayer.
Heres’s his Hope For COVID-19 sermon from this weekend. Maybe it will inspire you too.
2. This Song
Yes, Hope For has been in constant rotation in my playlist before all this Coronavirus shook up our lives.
3. These Words
I’m going to repeat this again.
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
Proverbs 12:25
That’s right, kind words. They don’t run scarce like toilet paper, hand sanitizer or good jobs. So let’s sow plenty of kindness, OK?
Thank you friends and loved ones for your kindness; you make life wonderful. Keep sharing and sowing.
