Surprise, A Barn Yard Smells Great

BOWIE, Tx — Midway through Bowie Trade Days, I discovered that barn yards can, in fact, smell great.

I was visiting Crystal Cross Collections, one of my favorite stores at Trade City, when the owner challenged me to open the lid to one of her newest fragrances.

Barn Yard Wax Melts

I know what you’re thinking and you’re wrong. I don’t want to spoil the surprise so check it out for yourself.

Mary, the owner, is one of our family friends, and she’s next door to my mom’s squash blossom necklaces and other turquoise jewelry.

I love visiting her shop and picking up a few gifts and sampling her latest fragrances. Here’s a cool sampling of her wares:

Candles That Fill A Room

My favorite? Leather. And peaches. Ok, all of them actually.

Eggs!

This is so on-trend right now and fills my Marshall Pottery bowl when I want my dining table to look farmhouse friendly.

Also, anyone else notice that lemons are hot this summer? I already have a lemon wreath on my door and a few florals with lemons.

And Lemons

Mary’s already on top of this trend and took it up another notch with faux veggies too.

And Vegetables Good For Your Decor

Ok, I got sidetracked as I usually do, because I usually find a few vintage goodie, which I did:

But back to Crystal Cross Collections — Mary is at Trade City today and I don’t want to spoil the surprise, so ask her about her latest Barnyard fragrance and its country cousin, Bunk House.

This is also one of Mary’s new favorites so ask about that too.

Finally, here’s a sign Mary made that reminds me of her sweet personality and kindness.

So, check out Mary’s shop!

Enjoy!

Yes Mary is a very talented woman with a sweet heart willing to help others at any time. She can make anything she sets her mind to.I wish I could say I am this talented but I’m not. And I get to see her new ideas all the time before they go to trade days. Glad to call her my Sister and I love her very much! I even get to live close to her ! You never know what Mary will come up with next. Love your sister Lisa
